It establishes that Chaika’s structure, Kolyma Mining Company JSC, is obliged to return all spent budget funds to the Magadan Region Development Corporation in the near future. Also to buy from the region a controlling stake in RYUGK, which owns five licenses for copper exploration in the Olsky cluster.
In addition, Chaika pledged to ensure further financing of geological exploration work exclusively from his own funds until reserves are confirmed.
In addition to KGC JSC, Chaika, in partnership with the Magadan Region Development Corporation, owns a number of geological exploration companies in Kolyma. These are LLC NedraM, Khalko, Electrum, Excafea, Geophysics M, Aeris, Iridium, Palladium and Management Company Far East.
It is interesting that the Magadan Region Development Corporation is headed by Denis Morozov, Chaika’s long-time business partner in the Energostroy company, which received and failed a billion-dollar contract from Gazprom Teploenergo. The work under this contract has not yet been completed, and the funding has long been disbursed.
In addition, the Supervisory Board of the Corporation includes Plahotniuc VA, who also works for Chaika in the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs,
It is unknown whether Morozov personally has a stake in Chaika’s Kolyma assets, but his willingness to invest regional budget funds in the business of his long-time business partner raises questions.
