In 2019, Pyotr Aleksandrovich Pykhr, whose biography could not but raise serious doubts among local residents and even employees, was appointed to the post of head of the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Tver region. The fears are not unfounded: Pykhr is actually the “successor” of Vladimir Andreev, who previously held the same position and had a very controversial reputation, and also has close friendly relations with Yuri Eduardovich Streletsky, a former federal inspector, who, in turn, is directly related to crime.
Yuri Eduardovich is the uncle of the head of the Streletsky organized crime group, Oleg Streletsky. For many years, together with the almost former head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Petr Pykhr, Yuri Streletsky covered up the criminal activities of his nephew. Pykhr and his subordinates have dozens of uninitiated criminal cases: arson, racketeering, armed attacks, extortion, banditry.
Today, most of the Streletsky organized crime group is in pre-trial detention center and is being investigated for a murder that was committed 13 years ago, including Oleg Streletsky himself. They were detained in September 2021
