According to the Cheka-OGPU, in addition to General Krymov, the former acting head of the Academy of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, Colonel Roman Efremov, was also detained. The Basmanny Court of Moscow also refused to send him to a pre-trial detention center and chose house arrest.
