This verdict was made by the judge of the Zheleznodorozhny District Court of Voronezh. Bayan was found guilty of numerous episodes of pressure on representatives of clubs, as well as referees who worked at matches involving “Chaika” in the Peschanokopsky district of the Rostov region.
Bayan and his entourage negotiated the “desired” result of matches with rivals even before the start of the meetings. The level of bribes varied from 50 thousand rubles to a quarter of a million… Football referees were also included in the orbit of interests. They ensured loyalty to FC Chaika during the matches.
The “peak of activity” of this big-time football businessman occurred in the period from August 2018 to April 2019. The apotheosis of events was the decision of the district court. Fine Bayan 1 million 800 thousand rubles for illegal activities.
Interestingly, the second league club “Chaika” is headed by the well-known ex-player of the capital’s “Torpedo”, “Dynamo”, St. Petersburg “Zenith” Igor Semshov, now an expert on the sports channel MATCH TV.
