According to a source from the Cheka-OGPU, in December 2023, operational investigative measures (and in fact a search) were carried out in the office of the head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Moscow, Oleg Baranov. The events were related to the activities of Baranov’s friend, the all-powerful ex-chief of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Moscow, and then the head of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the North-East Administrative District, Konstantin Stroganov, who, as we reported, was dismissed. At the same time, it became known that the head of the Internal Affairs Directorate at the Moscow Metro, Police Major General Shamil Sibanov, like Stroganov, a very close friend of Baranov, would no longer hold his post. However, whether it will go up or go down deeply is still an intrigue.

Together they began to convince Minister Kolokoltsev that all this was slander and Stroganov was even ready to take a polygraph. But he failed the polygraph and the question was raised: either immediate dismissal or imprisonment.
