Before taking the post of head of Krymavtodor in September 2018, Krivenko was the deputy head of the department of FKU Uprdor “South Ural” of Rosavtodor.
Krivenko was removed from his post in Crimea in 2020 amid a scandal.
The Russian Ministry of Transport drew attention to the activities of Krymavtodor, naming Crimea among those regions where there is a low percentage (less than 20%) of laying road surfaces and low cash utilization of funds for the national road project – less than 10%.
Next, the head of Crimea Aksenov stated that “violations were found at 52 facilities, and the violations were significant, affecting the quality, timing and cost of work” and fired the director of the State Unitary Enterprise “Krymavtodor” Dmitry Krivenko.
A couple of months later, Krivenko’s friend Sergei Karpov was also removed from the post of Minister of Transport of Crimea.
In 2021, Karpov joined the management of FKU Uprdor Moscow – Nizhny Novgorod and pulled Krivenko there.
