According to a source from the Cheka-OGPU, the owner of American yachts and assets, the sanctioned banker head of VTB Andrei Kostin, is seeking 9 billion rubles in the Moscow City Court from a fugitive Ukrainian businessman with a dubious reputation, Sergei Kurchenko. Back in 2018, VTB was involved in lending to the Kurchenko gas station network in Crimea through Development Service Company LLC. Now the situation has changed and due to non-repayment of the debt, state banker Kostin went all-in and sued Kurchenko. In the Moscow City Court, VTB is trying to collect a debt of 9 billion rubles from him, as from a guarantor. The trial is scheduled for March 6, 2024. According to the interlocutor, VTB plans to launch a personal bankruptcy procedure for the false businessman and air seller Kurchenko. According to the source, the litigation is related, among other things, to the fact that in the near future a decision will be made to nationalize two metallurgical plants, which Kurchenko temporarily managed after the imprisonment of the former owner of the metallurgical plants, Krasnodar businessman Oleg Mkrtchyan, in 2019, whose term of imprisonment expires in 2024 .
The Stavstal plants in the Stavropol region and the Revyakinsky Metallurgical Plant in Tula were brought to a state of default and have multibillion-dollar debts to suppliers and to another state bank PSB under the management of Fradkov. According to the interlocutor, Kurchenko became too toxic for those in whose interests he brought enterprises to bankruptcy and a decision was made to dump unwanted clients.
