The year of Alisa Biryukova’s directorship at the Federal Historical Museum-Reserve “Gorki Leninskiye” is greeted with the smell of burning and the fourth fire this summer. From June to August, the Cinema Village burned on the museum’s territory, then one street of the Cinema City (in the video), then the entire Cinema City – only the lights remained (in the photo). But the director from the Philharmonic got away with it, it’s not her fault, it’s just movie scenery, trash. True, for the sake of this “trash” people came to take photographs in a not very popular place, and the museum itself made good money from filming. Today it is no longer possible to say that “dust” was burning. The most historic greenhouse building in the historical, protected part of the Gorki estate was burning. Only on Thursday Biryukova accepted a ministerial inspection in the person of the head of the museums department, Elena Kharlamova. And here questions arise for the Ministry of Culture under the leadership of Olga Lyubimova. How the head of one of the two historical federal museums in the country ended up being a person without the slightest museum experience and relevant education, who bankrupted the museum in the first four months of leadership, lost the best part of the team and multiplied the staff with girlfriends and dead souls who did not show up for work. And most importantly, why did Lyubimova enter into an agreement with the new director Biryukova, as is usually the case, not for a year, but gave Biryukova employment for three (!) years at once. Now Biryukova’s merits are obvious. Bankruptcy, valuable scientific staff uprooted, four fires over the summer – the best indicators of efficiency.
