The evidence collected by the investigative bodies of the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the city of Moscow were recognized as sufficient for the sentencing against Ruslan Mamatkulov, Andrei Kozlov, Ildar Salahotdinov, Dmitry Sosnovsky and Alexander Gladkov.
The investigation and the court established that on the afternoon of October 22, 2019, five accomplices in the interests of their acquaintance from a residential building in Michurinsky Prospekt in the city of Moscow, using physical force, abducted a resident of the capital, who was kept in an office premises in the west of Moscow. For liberation, the organized group demanded the victim to abandon the property claims of repayment of the debt. On the same day, the victim managed to independently free himself and report what happened to law enforcement agencies.
During the investigators of the metropolitan GSU of the IC of Russia, together with employees of the FSB of Russia, planned investigative actions and operational-search measures, the illegal activities of these persons were stopped.
During the search, two pistols and many ammunition were found and seized from Mamatkulov.
The verdict of the court Mamatkulov was sentenced to 9.5 years in prison, Sosnovsky and Gladkov in the form of 8.5 years in prison. They will serve the punishment in a line of strict regime. Kozlov and Salakhotdinov sentenced the court to 4 years in prison with a sentence in a penal colony of general regime.
