But the Rotenbergs were not interested in the work to ensure the safety of the bridge, and huge sums were also allocated for them. We are talking about work on installing surveillance cameras, creating security zones, equipping the bridge with warning systems, erecting fences and checkpoints with inspection of vehicles, etc. This particular area was supervised by Deputy Head of the Ministry of Transport Nikolai Zakhryapin, who was seconded to this department from the FSB of the Russian Federation. And many questions arose for him, especially regarding possible affiliation with the companies Baurama and Asteros, which received a lot of money for various works on the Crimean bridge. While the T Directorate of the FSB of the Russian Federation was headed by the old team close to Zakhryapin, all the collected materials were not allowed to proceed. But in April 2020, the new head of the T Department, Viktor Gavrilov, came and the inspection resumed. However, it was decided to simply remove Zakhryapin from his post. Moreover, he remained in the FSB and was seconded…to the defense holding Almaz-Antey, where he became deputy general director for regime and security.
