A source from the Cheka-OGPU told the details of the criminal case regarding the disappearance of material evidence from the Zelenograd police. We are talking about the events of 2017. Then, a criminal case was opened against the defendants named Suprunets and Reshetnikov under the article “Fraud” of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. In total, more than 60 episodes of criminal activity were registered (second and third parts of Article 159). As part of the investigation, computers, documents, gadgets and money were seized. Due to the large volume and shortage of personnel – the “economy” in the department, literally a couple of investigators were involved, the investigation was either suspended or resumed until 2021. Two years ago, at the initiative of the capital’s Main Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the criminal case was withdrawn and transferred for investigation to the Special Administrative District. Investigators from the northern district of Moscow have been working with materials all this time and have finally completed the investigation. But when the time came to send the case to court, not all the material evidence was found, or more precisely, the main ones, those that represented the evidence base, disappeared. We are talking about equipment, documents and money (approximately a couple of hundred thousand rubles). In connection with this fact, a criminal case was recently opened under the article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Exceeding official powers.”
