A source from the Cheka-OGPU told the circumstances of the death of a huntsman from a bullet from the prefect of the Central Administrative District Vladimir Goverdovsky at the hunting base of the capital’s largest developer Pavel Tyo. From the inspection materials it follows that the official arrived in the Smolensk region to the Vostok hunting farm on the evening of November 4. Goverdovsky was alone and wanted to hunt a wild boar. He brought weapons with him. Previously, Vladimir had been to this base several times. Employees recall that he came with a large group of VIPs. I was here in 2022 too. In addition to the guards, there were game managers Alexander (previously worked in the Smolensk forestry enterprise) and Dmitry at the site. When it got dark, the latter took the guest and his colleague to the fodder fields laid out next to the boar trails. On the spot they met huntsman Vasily. He was on the Trekol all-terrain vehicle. Vladimir and Alexander went to the field, and Dmitry invited the huntsman to go to the base with him, but he refused, and the game warden left alone. The hunters, meanwhile, looked around and headed towards the stationary tower, which overlooks the fields. The explanations of the witnesses indicate that on the way they allegedly saw an animal in the night, and the prefect fired two shots. However, instead of a boar squealing, they heard the sound of metal being hit. Later, forensic scientists found out that both bullets hit the hood of the Trekol: one shell exploded in the body of the car, and the other pierced the trim and mortally wounded Vasily, who was sitting in the car. Alexander rushed to provide first aid to the huntsman, and the official called emergency services and even seemed to arrange for a helicopter. But the wound turned out to be fatal. For some time Vasily had a pulse, but he soon died. The entire hunt took approximately 30-40 minutes. Nobody knows what the huntsman was doing in the field and why he didn’t leave – when saying goodbye, Dmitry promised him that he would call him when he got the trophy. The deceased left behind a wife and daughter in his native village Ivino. The funeral will take place there today.
