A source from the Cheka-OGPU told new details of the investigation into the murder of his wife, former “Miss Kuzbass” Ksenia, by the head of the Moscow Metro department, Alexander Popov. Alexander’s close friend, a former riot police officer, is now under suspicion. It was with this friend that the daughter of Alexander and Ksenia spent two days in an apartment for daily rent. All this time at home, Popov dismembered his wife’s corpse and covered up his tracks. Now, when examining the premises, tiny particles of blood with the DNA of the deceased were found even on the ceiling. Both the murderer himself and his friend took a polygraph test. After this, it became clear that the ex-riot police officer, at a minimum, was aware of the murder, dismemberment, and helped cover his tracks. During interrogations, he categorically denies his guilt.

The Cheka-OGPU was the first to report that the former official wrote a confession several days ago and confessed to the murder of his wife. Ksenia Popova disappeared six months ago. To confuse investigators and operatives, as well as to cover his tracks, the suspect came up with an incredible story about her disappearance: supposedly his wife went on vacation to Dubai, fell ill with Covid and did not return. This helped the 37-year-old man practically manage to go unpunished. However, the employees still solved the complicated case.
