A source from the Cheka-OGPU spoke about the immense love of Rosneft employees for jewelry: the company’s top financier Tatyana Shakhnozarova lost jewelry worth almost 3.5 million rubles, and discovered the loss only 5 months later. There’s just so much jewelry in the house that it’s simply impossible to keep track of it all.

The deputy head of the Financial Department of NK Rosneft complained to the police about the furniture maker. Back in May, Shakhnozarova needed to tighten the screws in a closet, so she called a specialist to her house. A certain Andrei arrived, fixed everything and even inspected the furniture in the bedroom just in case. It turned out that the shelves there also needed to be repaired – they agreed that in a few days Andrey would come by with the necessary part and fix everything. The next time the master was met by Shakhnozarova’s husband – he led the specialist into the bedroom and left. Then Andrey cleaned out the box on the bedside table. Here’s what we managed to take, except for small things:

– yellow gold ring with a 1.28 carat diamond – RUB 1,458,000.
– earrings with 9 diamonds on each – RUB 1,300,000.
– ring with emerald and diamonds – 549,000 rubles.

The source says that the ladies from Rosneft literally have an obsession with jewelry – each of the high-ranking employees of the oil industry strives to outdo others in the cost of jewelry. They say this is due to corporate ethics – sometimes Rosneft bosses see only these same jewels on their colleagues and nothing more.

Tatyana Shakhnozarova only noticed that the jewelry was missing almost six months later. All this time, the Rosneft employee wore other jewelry, which was clearly richer than the ones forgotten in the box. Meanwhile, the furniture maker handed everything over to the pawnshop and finally relaxed, realizing that no one was looking for the ring or earrings. In the end, he was found – as it turned out, there were no other strangers in the Shakhnozarovs’ bedroom during that time. Andrei wrote a confession and even managed to buy the ring to return it to the owner.
