A source from the Cheka-OGPU spoke about the informal interrogation of PR specialist Yaroslav Shirshikov from Yekaterinburg by the FSB.

Let us remember that Yaroslav Shirshikov was the host when American journalist Evan Gershkovich arrived in Yekaterinburg. In an interview with the Cheka-OGPU, he denied the FSB version that the foreigner was asking about military-industrial complex enterprises and spying.

According to the interlocutor, today after a search in the apartment, Yaroslav in an unclear status (witness?) was taken to the local FSB department. Before the detainee was allowed to see a lawyer and taken to the investigator (the case is being handled by the FSB), he was surrounded by nameless counterintelligence officers. It is noteworthy that earlier, despite his closeness to Gershkovich, Shirshikov was not even asked for an explanation, because he was next to the journalist, including when he was allegedly collecting information. The nonames (the employees refused to introduce themselves) clearly hinted to Yaroslav about the opportunity to tell about Evan and his goals here and now. But, apparently, the PR man said exactly what he said before.

According to Yaroslav Shirshikov’s lawyer, his client admitted that the Gusarskaya Bravado channel belongs to him, but did not agree with the accusation. The PR man said that he himself once served and was always against terrorism. He insists that he published a value judgment against military commander Tatarsky because of his scandalous speech within the Kremlin walls.
