A source from the Cheka-OGPU says that cases where Russians were faced with refusals to obtain and extend a tourist residence permit in Turkey (reported by The Moscow Times) are a continuation of the story we told about earlier. In February and March, in Turkey, thieves in law who came from government agencies to renew their residence permits began to be detained. During the proceedings, it turned out that a list of Russians allegedly “posing a danger” compiled by the FSB of the Russian Federation came to Turkey from Moscow.

“In almost all regions, the percentage of refusals for residence permits began to rise sharply; extension of residence has become the most painful issue for the majority of Russians who moved to Turkey. A sharp increase in refusals is observed in all major cities where Russians live – Istanbul, Antalya, Kemer, Bodrum, Marmaris and others, reports The Moscow Times.

Earlier, the Cheka-OGPU reported that five thieves in law were subsequently detained in Turkey: Roin Uglava (Matevich), Elgudzha Turkadze (Gudzha), Khusein Akhmadov (Husein Slepoy), Vladimir Zhurakovsky (Vova Pukhly), Otari Totochia (Batya). All of them came to government agencies to renew their residence permits and from there were sent to a deportation prison.

During the proceedings after the arrest of the thieves in law, it turned out that the Turkish authorities acted in connection with a certain document received from Russia. This document was created by the FSB of the Russian Federation and contains a list of persons who, according to Moscow, allegedly “represent a threat to the security of the Turkish Republic” and also pose a threat to the “integrity of the Turkish Republic.” It is unknown how many Russians are on this list, but, according to the Cheka-OGPU, there are much more than the group of “thief in law” and it also includes people without criminal status.
