A source from the Cheka-OGPU said that thief in law Akhmed Dombaev (Akhmed Shalinsky) sold his palace in Chechnya. This is a gigantic complex of buildings with huge gates decorated with “thieves’ stars.” Dombaev himself continues to be in a Turkish prison and his further fate is unknown.

Akhmed Dombaev was detained in early February immediately upon arrival in Istanbul. At the same time, only in Antalya, another Chechen thief in law, Husein Akhmadov (Husein Slepoy), was taken into custody. The latter was immediately released, but Dombayev is still in custody. According to the source, Turkish intelligence services received information about him when they were monitoring people from the republic who were closely associated with the authorities of Chechnya. Moreover, they had information that Dombaev, together with a group of associates, would arrive in Turkey to organize some kind of attack on a person from among the opposition to the Chechen authorities. This information is still being verified. If it is not possible to collect confirmation of the information, then he will simply be deported to Russia. In the Russian Federation, Dombaev is wanted on charges of holding a senior position in organized crime (Article 210.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

Meanwhile, Dombaev got rid of the ill-fated castle in Chechnya. Let us recall that in 2021 a number of thieves in law held a meeting and decided to decrowned Shalinsky. He was accused of living beyond his means, and accordingly, he was contributing to the common fund. The necessary “evidence” was presented from Chechnya: filming of that same luxurious Shalinsky mansion.

However, in the world of thieves, the decision was received ambiguously, and many thieves refused to accept her decision. So Dombaev continues his old life and is considered by most “criminal generals” to be an active “thief in law.”
