A source from the Cheka-OGPU said that Galina Krochak, deputy head of the department of information systems of special communications of the FSO of the Russian Federation, became a victim of the scammers. The woman complained that she was “promoted” for 106 thousand rubles. According to the victim, who seems to be required by her position to understand information systems, the crooks stole her account in State Services, posing as MTS employees. They needed to “renew the contract remotely,” so Krochak immediately gave out passwords and appearances, which began to arrive via SMS. It is interesting that the honored employee of the FSO was not embarrassed by the pop-up window with an unknown number on the State Services website – the woman also called there. As a result, I heard the standard “fraudsters want to apply for a loan”, “bank employees and the police will contact you”, “don’t tell anyone and keep them informed.” Korczak sent the first trial tranches “to save money” to a certain Rustam Bayramov. When 106 thousand successfully left, the scammers offered to increase rates and “go through a full bank check.” The FSO officer was saved by her daughter, who, having heard the conversation, immediately interrupted the connection and finally explained to the deputy head of the FSO special communications department who had communicated with her and to whom she had transferred the money.
