A source from the Cheka-OGPU said that the inspection revealed that the technical characteristics of the Voronezh radar (designed to detect space and aerodynamic objects, including ballistic and cruise missiles) declared by the manufacturer Concern RTI did not correspond to the real ones. Moreover, as it turned out, this was clear for a very long time. But the commander of the Space Forces – Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the East Kazakhstan region, Alexander Golovko, did not want to let down one of his closest friends – Major General Vyacheslav Lobuzko. According to the interlocutor, the issue of bringing Golovko to criminal liability is now being considered.

Lobuzko was the commander of the 3rd Separate Army Air Defense Division (Missile Attack Warning System). Then he became Deputy General Director of PJSC RTI, was the head of Vympel MAK, worked at RTI (part of AFK Sistema), and was a co-founder of a number of enterprises, including NIIDAR (Institute of Long-Range Radar). It was Lobuzko who, since 2006, actively promoted and used money for the construction of stations for detecting Voronezh ballistic and cruise missiles. With his help, the military acceptance and command of the Aerospace Forces commissioned new stations of the Missile Attack Warning System (MAWS) and signed contracts for the construction of new radar stations.

Now it turns out that the “rocket and space shield” is full of holes due to corruption. Lobuzko was arrested.
