A source from the Cheka-OGPU said that gangs from the “dashing 90s”, which are now used to scare young people, are returning and are starting to operate in remote regions of Russia. The latest example: another group that terrorizes businessmen of North Ossetia-Alania with robberies. Recently it became known about a new organized crime group that attacks heavy truck drivers and has already managed to steal trucks from a large fuel company.

On November 8, seven armed bandits attacked a convoy of trucks belonging to the gas company Gastrading 2023 Ltd and, threatening with pistols, forced the drivers (Georgian citizens) to leave the vehicles. Nobody offered resistance, there was no security or escort of the trucks – the attackers were able to calmly leave in three trucks, the cost of which is estimated at 20 million rubles. The fuel company’s security service tried to find the daring robbers themselves and punish them “in their own way.” However, it was not possible to find the trail of the “seven”. Only 9 days after the attack, the owners of the trucks contacted the police through a lawyer. Precious time for the operatives was wasted; the bandits have not yet been apprehended. However, the source of the Cheka-OGPU suggests that the reluctance of the authorities to deal with such incidents may be to blame – the criminal case for robbery was opened only a month after the application was filed. Most likely, the customer and the perpetrators of the crime are already known; the only thing that stops investigators is the possibility of “finding themselves.” How criminal and business structures are connected with the power bloc of North Ossetia-Alania has been talked about more than once.
