Tire manufacturer from Togliatti Sergei Bondarenko is known for the fact that at the end of 2020 he was declared bankrupt along with his wife and a number of companies controlled by him. At the same time, the businessman tried… to bankrupt banks such as VTB, Absolut Bank and Zenit Bank. And amid the information hype caused by the absurd claim, he managed to evade fulfilling billions of dollars in obligations to banks and the Federal Tax Service. Naturally, such a trick did not go unnoticed, and, despite the fact that Bondarenko’s wife managed to move to Spain, he himself was unable to leave the Russian Federation. And many people still had questions for him.
According to the interlocutor, at one of the meetings on the investigation of crimes of past years (one of the priority areas of work of the Investigative Committee), the name Bondarenko was again mentioned. His name was mentioned in the context of the murder of an employee of AvtoVAZ OJSC, whom the killer confused (or shot specifically with a sniper rifle) with Sergei Bondarenko’s partner, whose last name was Raevsky, standing next to him. With the latter they had unresolved financial issues. There were several other suspects in the case: a food and gas dealer and the owner of a taxi company. But the most likely customer, thanks to connections and resources, then managed to get lost among them.
