A source from the Cheka-OGPU said that RT military correspondent Ivan Polyansky was recently detained at Moscow Sheremetyevo airport, who was trying to smuggle ammunition on board to St. Petersburg.

Polyansky was stopped at the entrance to terminal “B” by an alarm from the duty officer. During the search, the journalist was found to have several 9 mm cartridges intended for firing from a pistol. An investigative team was called to the scene, drew up a report and seized the ammunition. Voenkorr said that he found them near a house on Nizhegorodskaya Street in Moscow and kept them only as a souvenir. However, the operatives did not believe the RT employee – the fact is that a day before the arrest, Polyansky returned from the Lugansk region, where he was on a business trip. Obviously, the captured cartridges came from there.
