Among the first shipments were attack UAVs and Shahed UAV projectiles.
Iran is currently supplying Russia with its radar systems for detecting and combating stealth lethal vehicles – UAVs. It turned out that the Russian defense industry and the armed forces do not produce and do not possess the required number of systems that could successfully combat low-profile targets. Problems in this direction were shown by constant summer attacks on the capital, when not particularly technologically advanced products flew to the center of Moscow and the Kremlin without much difficulty. The Research Institute of Long-Range Radar (NIIDAR), where Shustov worked and where radio engineering systems were developed, became unnecessary and was subsequently “picked up” by AFK Sistema, merged into the RTI holding, where he was safely buried. And the territory where the research institute was located in the area of Preobrazhenskaya Square was used for the construction of housing and business class offices.
In Iran, they were busy solving problems with detecting and destroying stealth targets, spy drones and attack drones. And here Ether Shustov came in very handy. In a short time, Iran was able to build, among other things, an over-the-horizon location of its 200-mile economic zone and find solutions for the timely detection of unwanted targets. Now Russia is purchasing Shustov’s developments from Iran.
