Roman Huseynov himself is on the international wanted list: in 2012, he fled from persecution in Turkey, where he secured the patronage of Abdullah Kostekski (an extremist from the Caucasus Emirate), who ensures his safety.
In Sochi, all of Roman’s affairs are managed by the relatives of his wife Liana, to whom all of Huseynov’s property is formally registered. Liana Guseinova is the daughter of Taigib Taigibov (former head of the investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sochi), her brother Ruslan was previously a judge in the Central District Court of Sochi.
In 2016, the organized crime group of Roman Guseinov, under the threat of murder (from Levan Uchadze), forced Roman’s brother, Ruslan Guseinov, his shares in the Sochi-Magnolia Hotel and Passage Center LLC to be transferred to Roman’s wife Liana.
The corresponding “meeting” on the transfer of assets took place in the office of notary Elena Pinchuk, who, when certifying the transaction, was not at all embarrassed that Ruslan Huseynov did not sign the documents voluntarily. However, this story is complemented by an interesting nuance – the notary’s son Peter is currently is serving 20-year sentence for carrying out the contract killings of Eduard Kagosyan and Timur Mamulia in 2010 and 2012, respectively.
The customer for both murders was Roman Huseynov – in 2012, his wife’s father, Taigib Taigibov, warned him about a criminal case and the threat of detention, after which Huseynov managed to leave the country.
Another shareholder of the Sochi-Magnolia Hotel, Salikh Gasanov, a cousin of Roman Huseynov, is also on the international wanted list (presumably hiding in Ukraine) for organizing the contract murder of Sochi businesswoman Liana Syrtsova. In 2012, a woman was shot dead near her own store “Venice” in the center of Sochi by Gasanov’s security guard Andrei Dzyatkovsky, for which he was later sentenced sentenced to 14 years in prison.
Currently, business partners are negotiating the sale of the Sochi-Magnolia Hotel, for which the proxies are Guseinov’s wife Liana and the same Levan Uchadze (threatened with a pistol in the notary’s office), through whom regular transportation of money from Guseinov’s organized crime group from Sochi is also organized in Turkey.
