A source from the Cheka-OGPU reported that the victim of the so far “unknown” was the companion of Klin businessman Ramiz Ismailov, who was sentenced to 9 years for a bribe of 100 plots of land to an FSB operative. The high-profile story of bribing a security officer became known in 2021. According to the investigation, Ismailov tried to hush up the issue of checks regarding his business; for this, the man chose to rewrite the land he owned in the Voroninsky settlement with a market value of almost 35 million rubles. Officially, detective Alexander Petrushevsky, instead of becoming a landlord, reported the businessman’s proposal to his superiors, and then the arrest operation was carried out by employees of the FSB Internal Security Service.

In March last year, Ismailov was sentenced to 9 years and a fine of 103 million rubles. Time passed and one of the henchmen of businessman Roman Almazov was contacted by unknown people who allegedly have connections to the FSB and the Investigative Committee and promised to reduce the sentence of the convicted businessman. In September 2023, at a meeting at the Ukraina Hotel, Almazov handed over a wad of money to the decision makers and began to wait for the result. Over time, it became clear that no movement was being made towards Ismailov’s release; it became clear that the fixers simply scammed everyone, taking more than a million rubles. It is worth noting that Almazov indicated in a police statement that the swindlers had access to the criminal case and fully knew all the defendants.

It is interesting that even in court Ismailov stated that he was a victim of a divorce by the FSB, allegedly, he was forced to pay a bribe and transfer 100 land plots to operative Petrushevsky. The latter, by the way, after a successful operation to catch the bribe-taker, went for a promotion. Colonel Alexander Petrushevsky is currently an employee of the Central Asian FSB Internal Security Service.
