A source from the Cheka-OGPU reported that the day before yesterday he was released
the second member of the criminal group led by Dmitry Sergeev, who stole funds for the reconstruction of the residence of the President of the Russian Federation “Novo-Ogarevo” – Dmitry Torchinsky. Torchinsky’s interests in the Novo-Ogarevo criminal case were represented by the famous Moscow lawyer Alexander Vershinin, who was detained in 2021 and sentenced to 2.5 years for extorting money from thief in law Vasya Voskres. Torchinsky, like his accomplices Dmitry Sergeev and Stanislav Kyuner, immediately after his arrest entered into a pre-trial agreement, admitted guilt and was sentenced under Article 210 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (criminal association) to 5 years of general regime. Since his arrest in March 2017, Torchinsky managed to spend a short time both in a pre-trial detention center and under house arrest in the elite residential complex “Mosfilmovskaya, 88”, and walked free on bail. In 2020, the trial of Torchinsky took place in the Moscow City Court in a special regime, without examining the case materials, after which he was immediately sent to the Lgov correctional colony in the Kursk region, where by this time his friend and accomplice Stanislav Kyuner, convicted in the same year for 6 years of general regime. Unlike Sergeev and Kyuner, Torchinsky did not admit the amount of damage in the civil process in the FSO’s claim against pre-trial defendants Sergeev, Kyuner and Torchinsky, but did not appeal the decision of the Nikulinsky Court of Moscow, according to which he must pay off the claimed damage.
