A source from the Cheka-OGPU reported that at the request of the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, immediately after the celebration of the Day of Investigative Authorities, the recruitment of retired investigators throughout Russia intensified. All due to the lack of personnel in the departments of the RF IC, especially in the territories of the L/DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. There are few people willing to go to “explosive” positions.

The Cheka-OGPU publishes a letter from the Chairman of the Association “Union of Investigative Veterans” Alexander Kukushkin, who appeals to personnel officers of the State Investigative Directorate and regional investigative departments with a request to provide, by August 4, data on retired Investigative Committee employees who wish to be reinstated in service and continue working in the system. In addition, in his appeal, Kukushkin asks to identify problematic issues that veterans encountered when submitting documents and processing. Apparently, in the near future the procedure for admitting veterans to investigative bodies will be simplified, and a bank will be compiled with a detailed description of the previous “merits” of applicants.
