It all started with multi-day drinking sessions, with which future soldiers, seconded to the war from JSC Mosvodokanal, whiled away the time. Before departure, the plumbers and pipelayers were gathered into a group and accommodated in the “HotelHot Baumanskaya” hostel in the area of the 3 station square. The overexposure dragged on – the “front-line soldiers” bought up the entire local alcohol market and staged a noisy drinking binge on the second floor of the hotel. They got so drunk that they began to figure out the age-old question of who is cooler – mercenaries or the regular army. Among the guests was 48-year-old Alexey Kosenko, a retired Air Force colonel, who has recently been listed in the Irbis detachment of the Redut PMC. He was hooked by the drunken conversations and began to teach his drinking buddies about life, especially since a reserve officer is not just a military officer and a reserve officer. Kosenko is an associate professor, former head of the department and candidate of technical sciences, co-author of 7 patents for inventions and has more than 150 scientific and methodological works. Vodokanal employees did not listen to the lecture on the basics of survival in a PMC and attacked the reserve officer with their fists.
