A sentence has been handed down to a serviceman who opened fire on a resident of the LPR who could not provide him with vodka.

As the Cheka-OGPU found out, the crime was committed in the Stanichno-Lugansk region of the so-called LPR. There, a drunken mobilized Dmitry Belov, who, by the way, was awarded state awards (the Zhukov medal and the medal “For Military Distinction”), opened fire from a machine gun at a local resident because he could not buy him a bottle of vodka to drink together. The victim, leaving the store, said “that they didn’t sell him vodka, because they saw that he had a serviceman with him, to whom it is impossible to sell alcohol on the territory of the LPR,” follows from the court’s guilty verdict.

The military man did not believe the buyer, saying that “he did not purchase vodka because he does not respect him, since he is a military man.” The mobilized man removed the safety catch and fired in the direction of a local resident. The bullet missed him, he fired again and hit him in the leg. A criminal case was opened against the military man for causing grievous bodily harm. During the investigation, he compensated the man for material damage in the amount of 125 thousand rubles and reconciled with him.

The court sentenced Belov to two years and seven months in prison, taking into account the unserved part of the sentence for a previous conviction (for failure to pay alimony) and stripped him of his military rank.
