Initially, it was reported that Khaidarov himself allegedly had nothing to do with the incident, and the criminal case was initiated without justification.
However, now the Investigative Committee has presented to the Zamoskvoretsky court a transcript of audio messages from Khaidarov and his wife, in which they, immediately after the death of the patient, discuss adjusting his medical record, deleting “inconvenient” data and making a different diagnosis.

The discussion is being held with the operating surgeon Ilya Elagin and the chief physician of the hospital, to the intensive care unit of which Gavrilov was transferred shortly before his death (while there was no intensive care unit in Khaidarov’s own clinic, in violation of all requirements).
The routine nature of the negotiations shows that the process follows a well-established pattern – one can only guess at how many patients’ deaths were hidden in this way.
