The capital’s Basmanny Court arrested until the end of December the head of Petersburg Renaissance LLC, which participated in a number of high-profile restoration projects and is now involved in the restoration of Mariupol, Ivan Orynchuk and former employee of the company Oksana Orynchuk on suspicion of large-scale fraud in the reconstruction of Moscow Kremlin facilities.
I. Orynchuk began to take his firm and confident steps in the field of developing the state budget at the beginning of 2000, under the wing of the famous St. Petersburg businessman P.A. Sinelnikov and his company OJSC RSK BaltStroy. Having established the companies “Petersburg Project” and “Petersburg Renaissance”, his companies took part in joint restoration projects.
Since 2007, Orynchuk has already faithfully served the new owners of BaltStroy CJSC in the person of businessman Dmitry Sergeev, who had connections in the leadership of the FSO, the Ministry of Culture and other government agencies in Moscow and St. Petersburg, and Alexander Kochenov, who is responsible for restoration in the company. They became his new patrons, with whose help he received lucrative contracts, leading their own companies as project director.
From 2009-2016, Orynchuk, directly as the face of BaltStroy, manages two major projects: the restoration of the Naval St. Nicholas Cathedral in Kronstadt under the patronage of S. Medvedeva and the restoration of the New Jerusalem Monastery in the Istra district under the patronage of D. Medvedev. The total cost of work on each of the objects was estimated at around 8 billion rubles. The composition of both boards of trustees for the restoration included the future governor of St. Petersburg A. Beglov.
After a series of criminal cases against Kochenov and Sergeev related to major thefts, Orynchuk found new patrons in the person of Beglov and his team. As we see, a veteran of the development of funds from the charitable foundation “Kronstadt Naval Cathedral”, the first and only chairman of which was Beglov, and the actual leadership was carried out by Alexander Zakhvatov, was involved in the development of funds for the restoration of Mariupol from the Beglov charitable foundation “Victory”. Orynchuk, as the head of Tekhnostroy, has already received a certificate of honor from the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg for his contribution to the restoration of Mariupol.
