The former chairman of the Kanavinsky District Court of Nizhny Novgorod, Nikolai Ryabov, at one time received a weapon – an IZH combat pistol (type PM Makarov). For judges, the situation is quite normal; they are provided with weapons for self-defense.
However, in July last year, Nikolai Nikolaevich was transferred to the capital by a judge of the 2nd Cassation Court of General Jurisdiction. The servant of Themis did not care about the rules and laws of the Russian Federation and did not surrender his weapons. The Russian National Guard conducted an inspection at the courthouse regarding this matter and recorded the absence of a pistol, about which they drew up a report.
The information should have gone to Nikolai Ryabov’s employer, as well as to the State Prosecutor’s Office, which should have referred this issue to the Higher Qualification Commission and brought Nikolai Ryabov to at least administrative responsibility.
Where is the pistol issued to the judge in Nizhny Novgorod now, who is shooting at whom with it… The Goddess of justice in our country turns a blind eye to this. And the eternal question in classical literature is still relevant today. Who are the judges? Who is given the right to make decisions that sometimes change the fate of people? What principles guide these people who ignore the rules of the law?
