It came out frank
interview with Olga Mirimskaya, who has been kept in a pre-trial detention center since mid-December. There is quite a lot of intrigue in her case, as in all the love affairs of our elite. The woman fought for her child, who was illegally taken to Cyprus by her ex-husband, oligarch Nikolai Smirnov, and then a bunch of criminal cases were immediately brought against her.
Someone floated the theory that Mirimskaya’s detention was retribution for her participation in the YUKOS case. Nevertheless, she was placed in a pre-trial detention center on a strained basis, allegedly the businesswoman has connections with the leadership of the Investigative Committee. Others call it the revenge of ex-husbands – oligarchs Golubovich and Smirnov. The truth, as always, is somewhere in the middle.
In any case, it is clear from Mirimskaya’s attitude that she does not plan to give up and is ready to tell journalists and the public about all the vicissitudes of this dark criminal case.
It is surprising that Ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova does not comment on the high-profile detention – after all, this is partly her area of responsibility.
