Sources of the Cheka-OGPU confirmed that the searches conducted the day before at the former head of the traffic police in the Primorsky Territory Oleg Zubakin (pictured) took place as part of a new criminal case for accepting bribes, which was opened on February 9. In addition to Zubakin, his ex-deputy A.A. Turbin is also a suspect in the new case. and former senior traffic police inspector P.V. Dubinin. Sources note that a new case was initiated within the framework of the already well-known September case – then the head of the examination department of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of Primorye Alexander Belov, the head of the traffic police department V.A. Belov, and the deputy head of the International Economic Inspectorate – Skvortsov A.S. were detained for bribes. and deputy head of the MREO of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the region Chuprov A.G.
According to investigators, former employees made it a priority to take driver’s license exams in the Primorsky Territory. For 65 thousand rubles at the Primorsky State Traffic Safety Inspectorate, anyone could “pass” the theory, and for another 50 – practice. Sources say that a very large number of traffic police officers could be involved in the corruption scheme, so it is quite possible that the list of those detained in this case will continue to grow.
