A complaint was made against the mayor of Yalta, Yanin Pavlenko, to the Crimean Prosecutor’s Office.

25 people signed an appeal to the Crimean prosecutor’s office with a request to seriously look into the real reasons for the demolition of the Krasnov House (chief architect of Crimea) in Yalta.

As the Cheka already wrote, the house was quietly demolished on May 9, 2022.

The appeal states that a huge multi-storey complex with apartments and offices could be built on the demolition site and on the territory of the nearby Atlantis water park. Now the total cadastral value of the two plots is half a billion rubles, and the market value is estimated at 1.1 billion rubles.

At the same time, as it turned out, back in 2019 the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation made a recommendation to add the Krasnov House to the list of cultural heritage sites in Yalta. And representatives of the Crimean branch of the All-Russian Society for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments (VOOPiK) sent documents to the Crimean Ministry of Culture to assign the mansion the status of an architectural monument of Crimea in April 2022. However, the Crimean Ministry of Culture registered this appeal after the demolition of the architect’s residence. The recommendations of the Federal Ministry of Culture were also ignored.

If the prosecutor’s office finds out that plans to build multi-storey buildings in the areas on the site of the water park and the Krasnov House are confirmed, then the story of the hasty demolition of the architect’s residence could turn into a criminal case of corruption and abuse of power by the Yalta administration and its mayor Yanina Pavlenko, by the way, a native of the Chernivtsi region and holder of the title “Leader of Ukraine”.
