On September 23, as part of an agreement with the ICAO, Russian authorities are to publish interim data from the investigation into the plane crash of Yevgeny Prigozhin. At least, Embraer representatives insist on this. The Brazilian aircraft manufacturer wants to prove that their technology is reliable and could not lead to such dire consequences even with a global pilot error. Talk about problems with aircraft components could negatively affect Embraer sales. However, blocking access to information for international experts gives investigative authorities the opportunity to make any variations on the cause of the crash.
In addition, Russian colleagues received offers from the IAC to help decipher data from the flight recorders and analyze all possible options for the crash. Rosaviation, according to a source from the Cheka-OGPU, does not have laboratories with similar capabilities, especially since domestic specialists have not worked with Embraer, and it will be even more difficult for them to figure it out. Despite this, the FSB prohibited communication with the International Aviation Committee for fear of “information leakage.” Which one exactly is another question.
The source assures that conclusions favorable to the Russian authorities were published even in obvious cases such as the hard landing of a Ural Airlines airliner in a corn field, when the results of the IAC investigation spoke of obvious mistakes by the pilots, however, at the request of the top, they were made heroes without a preliminary investigation.
And although Russia has not withdrawn from the International Civil Aviation Organization, which recommends keeping other members at least minimally informed about the progress of aircraft incident investigations, even the formal rules of the ICAO are no longer respected. The FSB forbade notifying representatives of even friendly states about the crash of Prigozhin’s jet, citing that it was an internal flight and a matter of the country where the disaster occurred.
In conditions of increased secrecy, it is within the FSB of the Russian Federation that the cause of the disaster is being “concocted”.
