Mastercard
Mastercard has long enabled cryptocurrency payments through its platform through partnerships with major industry players such as MetaMask and MoonPay. Indeed, the company has recognized the usefulness of cryptocurrencies as real coins.
During the final months of 2022, the leading payment circuit company formed partnerships with eight Web3 startups to make crypto more accessible. These include the Hi mobile banking app, with which it will launch the first debit card that can be customized with its NFTs.

Gucci
Do you dream of buying luxurious clothing with Bitcoin? In Gucci’s U.S. stores, from August 2022, you can pay in different cryptos. To be precise, Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, ApeCoin (the token of the Bored Apes Yacht Club), and five different stablecoins are accepted.
Microsoft
Among the early adopters of blockchain technology is Microsoft, which has been accepting payments in Bitcoin since 2014. Anyone can use cryptocurrency for Microsoft services like Skype or Xbox Live.
Tesla
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, was among the first entrepreneurs to show interest in Bitcoin. For a time, it was possible to buy electric cars using crypto. Then he reconsidered, temporarily blocking payments in Bitcoin until renewable sources fully power mining operations.

McDonald’s
At McDonald’s in Lugano (Switzerland), you can buy your Crispy McBacon with Bitcoin and stablecoin Tether (USDT). These payments are part of the “Plan B” initiative involving the capital of Canton Ticino in October 2022.
This project aims to increase cryptocurrency adoption in the Swiss city. Payments at McDonald’s in Lugano are processed on Bitcoin’s Layer-2 blockchain, the Lighting Network.
Starbucks
We close the list of 10 companies that allow you to pay in Bitcoin like we would end a lunch, namely with an excellent coffee to be paid strictly in crypto. Indeed, in Starbucks’ American coffee shops, you can buy espressos and frappuccinos in cryptocurrency directly from the app, thanks to a partnership with Bakkt.
