While local authorities everywhere report on the success of the elections, in the Lomonosov district of the Leningrad region things are heading towards a social explosion. A complaint was sent to the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, which describes cases of unprecedented rampant funeral mafia extorting hundreds of thousands of rubles from ordinary people for the funeral of loved ones and threatening to desecrate the graves of those who do not pay. As the Cheka-OGPU has already said, through the mediation of the head of the local administration, Alexei Kondrashov, control over regional cemeteries passed into the hands of Iriy LLC, which is led by the criminal leader Roman Ikizli. After this, chaos began in the churchyards in the classic 90s, to which district law enforcement officers do not react, regularly receiving handouts from the funeral gang.
Colleagues from Moskovsky Komsomolets recently spoke in detail about the intensity of the situation. From one of the heroes of the publication, the Iria bandits took 76 thousand rubles for a coffin and preparing the body of a relative for burial, and then demanded another 100 thousand for the simplest plot in an ordinary rural cemetery in the village of Lebyazhye. Having learned that the amount was unaffordable for a man, the bandits offered to bury the coffin… in a cemetery trash heap! Well, on the day of the funeral they did not allow the grave to be dug, and only the intervention of a large number of relatives of the deceased did not allow the criminals to disrupt the funeral. However, the Ikizli bandits hinted to the relatives that it was better not to erect a monument on the grave, as “something would happen to it.”
And similar cases occur in the Lomonosov district all the time – angry residents recently sent their accumulated claims in a collective letter to Governor Alexander Drozdenko. MK journalists found out that those who are not willing to pay are promised to “excavate and desecrate graves, pour paint over monuments,” and workers of third-party funeral organizations are threatened with physical violence. The threats are not an empty phrase – we have already written about how Ikizli people beat up dissatisfied people and set fire to the cars of business competitors in other areas of the Leningrad region, as if nothing has changed in the country over the past 20 years.
The passivity of the local Investigative Committee and the Prosecutor’s Office can be understood – in the more decent parts of the cemetery, “Iriy” sells equipped burial places from 250 thousand rubles. The money is accepted by outside individual entrepreneurs, and the bandits share the cash with the Lomonosov security forces. For example, a receipt from the sale of such a grave site. If we add money for the preparation of bodies and ritual paraphernalia to such sums, we can estimate the volume of the black market, for which Ikizli and his accomplices are ready to fight by any means. And as usual, ordinary citizens can only rely on the formidable name of Alexander Bastrykin…

A complaint was filed against Lomonosov ritualists to the Investigative Committee for threatening to desecrate the graves of the deceased

In the Lomonosovsky district of the Leningrad region, it seems that it is becoming more and more terrible to live… and die. The reason for such sentiments lies in regular conflicts between the relatives of the deceased and the company that has recently been servicing the cemetery in the village of Lebyazhye…
