A source from the Cheka-OGPU said that only two possible resignations in this bloc are now being actively discussed on the sidelines of the security forces. The first and most obvious is the resignation of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Vladimir Kolokoltsev. In the minister’s office, everyone really sits on “suitcases.” The identity of the possible replacement is still in question. Sources of the Cheka-OGPU say that the position of minister has been offered to the head of the SEB of the FSB of the Russian Federation, Sergei Alpatov, who previously headed the Directorate M (including the one in charge of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation) of the FSB of the Russian Federation. However, he himself is not eager to exchange the KGB “feeding trough” for the police one.

The second possible resignation that the security forces are talking about is the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, and his first deputy, Eduard Kaburneev. Here, too, the sources of the Cheka-OGPU name the applicants with whom consultations were held. According to them, First Deputy Prosecutor General Anatoly Razinkin is being tried on to replace the new head of the Investigative Committee, and Pavel Goryachev, Deputy Head of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, is trying to replace Kaburneev.

Bastrykin, as sources say, has long asked to be released into retirement. But Kaburneev, if he leaves the TFR, will probably receive a new appointment. Possible places to continue your career include the Federal Customs Service.

There is no secret who is promoting Razinkin to the position of head of the ICR – it is Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov and, most importantly, his influential godfather, head of the Directorate for the FSB of the Russian Federation, Ivan Tkachev. Both are included in the “orbit” of Rosneft head Igor Sechin. The Sechinskys’ desire to occupy as many posts as quickly as possible is quite understandable. On the sidelines of the security forces, I believe that during this presidential term of Putin, the Kovalchuks will aim at ousting the Sechinites from all positions and have an excellent chance of doing so.
