Exactly at these minutes, Aras Agalarov is probably conducting the main negotiations in his life, the outcome of which will determine where his son Emin will sing in the coming years – on the stage of his father’s new concert hall or in the “red corner” of the ITK. After all the details of the terrorist attack came out in Crocus City Hall and the Investigative Committee investigators realized that the fire safety and ventilation systems were not working in the building, the emergency exit doors and fire escapes were closed, and the alarm system turned out to be a decoration. Aras Agalarov was in a hurry trying to “resolve the issue.” It is already known that so much money has been poured into the media and telegrams that it would be possible to build a new Crocus. But this time the billionaire from Azerbaijan cannot get away with PR resources alone. Political scientist Abbas Gallyamov is absolutely right when he claims that right now “the top of the power corporation is undressing Agalarov.” The irony of the moment is not even that these same security officials used to protect Crocus and turned a blind eye to unregistered migrants and the status of the complex, which has not yet been officially put into operation at all (!!!), but that it is precisely these security officials who completely slept through the terrorist attack and were unable to save the people in Crocus. But returning to their usual work – squeezing out business and undressing commerce – they will cope quickly and efficiently. It’s not like fighting terrorists. However, the outcome of the confrontation between the billionaire, experienced in corruption matters, and the flock of serious men in civilian clothes who surrounded him has not yet been decided. There is a lot of money at stake and equally long terms, which in our “legal system” depend on the skills and talents of the negotiators. Let’s hope that Aras at least has ears for now, and Emin hasn’t had the wires attached yet.
“CROCUS” AS A MIRROR OF RUSSIA
Could the tragedy in Crocus have been avoided? Who is responsible for mistakes? The answers to these two questions will determine what awaits us all tomorrow.
