As the Cheka-OGPU learned, the Basmanny court placed the chief accountant of MSTU “STANKIN” Eleonora Likhacheva under house arrest on charges of fraudulent theft of budget funds allocated by the Ministry of Science. This is a new episode in the case of the director of the university’s legal support department, Alexander Krylov, whom the court arrested in April. The Cheka-OGPU was the first to report the criminal case. After the report, STANKIN’s press service stated that Krylov’s detention had nothing to do with his activities at the university.

However, in the materials on Likhacheva’s arrest, which we have reviewed, it is directly stated that the accountant entered into a criminal conspiracy with him and another defendant to steal money using her official position.

According to the investigation, they organized the production of documents containing false information about 6 University employees, who were indicated as performers of work under government assignments and agreements, then charged the latter unjustified monetary payments totaling over 1,000,000 rubles, which, through the above-mentioned subordinate employees were appropriated. Likhacheva’s defense position boils down to the fact that the duties of the chief accountant do not include payroll.
