The brother of Evgeniy Serebryakov, who was detained for blowing up an SUV with GRU Colonel Andrei Torgashov, told the Cheka-OGPU about changes in the consciousness of his relative. Alexey Serebryakov has been living in Krasnodar for several years; he worked as a journalist for the publication Notepad. A native of Uryupinsk (Volgograd region), Evgeniy studied at the Higher School of Economics to become an economist and had health problems. Against this background, he became imbued with the Catholic faith, attended services and even served in a church, which is located not far from his place of residence in Moscow. At the same time, he worked in banks. In 2022, he allegedly quit, explaining that he was having problems at work. Then Evgeniy lost a large sum on the stock exchange (he couldn’t withdraw it) and recently he was very sick (his legs hurt). 
“He didn’t know how to shoot or explode, and he couldn’t even run away from anyone,” comments Evgeniy Serebryakov’s brother.
According to Alexei Serebryakov, Evgeniy watched broadcasts of football matches, criticized the authorities, but nothing more. He was also “against liberals.” Recently, Evgeniy began to communicate with his parents much less; he told them that he constantly flies from Moscow to Tashkent, where he found a job in the financial sector.
The last time Evgeniy saw his family was in May last year, he came to Alexey for his birthday. The last time he was in touch with his brother was yesterday, they discussed fake news about the digital ruble: Evgeniy assured his brother that this message was spam.
