The ruble grows to the main currencies in the “thin” market before long weekends

The ruble decided to strengthen before the weekend.

The US dollar, the euro and Chinese yuan are a little cheaper on the Moscow Exchange today during the day, the correspondent of The Moscow Post reports.

At the same time, the ruble is slightly strengthened to the bivalyut basket in the “thin” market before the upcoming weekend.

As of 15:00, the dollar rate amounted to 91.09 rubles, which is 25.75 kopecks below the previous closure.

The euro decreased to 98.33 rubles, falling by 11.25 kopecks. The cost of a bivalyat basket (0.55 dollars and 0.45 euros) decreased by 19.23 kopecks, to 94.35 rubles.

The course of the Chinese yuan also decreased by 7.05 kopecks, to 12.57 rubles.

Financial analysts note that the ruble continues to slightly strengthen the main currencies during daytime trades in the “thin” market before a long weekend in connection with the celebration of Victory Day on May 9.

The decision of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation by half to reduce the volume of daily purchase of currency/gold within the framework of the budget rule also continues to positively affect the ruble, which became known the day before.

From May 8 to June 6, the agency plans to send to the purchase of foreign currency/gold under the budget rule of 110.94 billion rubles, the daily amount of operations will be the equivalent of 5.55 billion rubles.
