Russian Railways resumes regular passenger transportation from Primorye to China and North Korea

Passenger transportation of the Russian Federation with the PRC and the DPRK were stopped in the pandemic.

From December 15, Russian Railways will resume regular passenger transportation from the Primorsky Territory to China and the DPRK, suspended due to pandemia, the correspondent of The Moscow Post reports with reference to the statement of the head of the Far Eastern Regional Russian Railways Service Sergey Fomichev.

He noted that the recovery of the message will help increase the flow of tourists. The route Vladivostok – Hassan – Radzhin is currently being considered, and in October it is planned to conduct a test flight.

The first train with Russian tourists went from Primorye to the DPRK through the Hassan checkpoint on July 6.

Recall that passenger transportation between Russia and these countries was suspended with the beginning of the pandemic. In November 2022, the first train went to the North Korean city of Tumangan from Primorye, which delivered 30 Oryol trotes.

On September 9, Russian Railways announced their intention to resume passenger transportation to China, but it was about trains that would be departed from the Trans -Baikal Territory.

In August, Russia and China announced the launch of the Chanlyuhao touring route, which runs along the Border River Tumannaya.
