The Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation approved the indictment in the criminal case against the head of the Department of Customs Investigations and inquiry of the Federal Customs Service of Russia Alexander Kizlyk, his deputy Alexei Silver, Deputy Head of the Vnukovo Customs Konstantin Mishin, Deputy Head of Domodedovo Customs Yuri Cherkashin and senior interrogator for especially important cases of Domodedovo customs Andrei Shurygina. They are accused of committing a crime under Part 3 of Art. 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (abuse of authority, which entailed grave consequences).
According to investigators, from July 3, 2018 to July 22, 2019, these employees of the FCS of Russia, acting contrary to the interests of the service and abusing official powers, made knowingly illegal procedural decisions. As a result of this person who committed the unlawful movement across the customs border of cash, were exempted from criminal liability and the property to be transferred to the state’s revenue was unreasonably returned to him.
The indicated actions of the budget of the Russian Federation caused damage in the amount of over 25 million rubles.
After the approval of the indictment, the criminal case was sent to the Dorogomilovsky District Court of Moscow for consideration on the merits.
