The investigation believes that in the past, 2020, the volume of snowmings was overstated by contractors and subcontractors who concluded contracts with the Smolny improvement committee, and the money was simply debited. According to some estimates, the initial damage to the budget is estimated at ten million rubles.
In 18 areas of the city, six contractors of them are engaged in cleaning five city – “Center”, “Way”, “Kolomyazhskoye”, “Petrodvortsovoe”, “Kurortnoye”, as well as one private – “Park 7 Special Trance”. They have all the contracts with the committee for work, but for this they themselves hire subcontractors. Recall that the winter of 2019-2020 in St. Petersburg was abnormal, there was practically no snow in the winter season. This year, snow cleaning in the city also caused dissatisfaction with the inhabitants. The townspeople complained about snowdrifts in human growth, snow porridge on sidewalks and roads and the lack of cleaning equipment on the streets.
