Roman Kashcheev at one time was “crowned” by the patronage of the influential “lawyer” Yuri Pichugin (Pichuga) and was a rather noticeable figure in the criminal world of the south of Russia. Kashchei was supposed to confront the clan of the “lawyer” Merab Jangveladze, with whom Pichug conflict. The interests of the Meraba living in Italy in the south represented the authoritative businessman Mindia Gulu. In 2016, the assassination attempt was made on Gulia and local operatives launched a real hunt for Kashchey, trying to prove his involvement in the crime. In the Kashchaev clan, the attempt was called a staging.
After the Pichuga was behind bars, Kashchei’s positions in Russia were very weakened, he left the country, in the Russian Federation a case was opened for extortion and leadership in the mafia. The thief in law was put on the international wanted list, he was detained in Poland. When it went to extradition to Russia, an unexpectedly corresponding request came from Ukraine, in which Kashchei had excellent connections and where he issued fictitious citizenship. It turned out that a certain citizen filed a statement that Kashcheev promised him to sell the car for $ 30, took an advance payment and disappeared. Kashchei gladly admitted to the commission of this crime. Poland chose to extradite the lawyer to Ukraine. There, in early March, he received five years, but remained at large until a higher instance is resolved.
