The Kuibyshevsky District Court announced the sentence in the criminal case against Marat Oganesyan, Alexander Yangchik, Vasily and Kirill Kakovkin and five more defendants in the case of bribes during the construction of Gazprom Arena.

The former vice-governor of St. Petersburg Oganesyan was sentenced to 5.5 years of strict regime and a fine of 20 million rubles.

Former deputy head of the St. Petersburg Construction Committee, Yanchik, received 5 years in a maximum security colony with a fine of 5 million rubles. He was taken into custody in the courtroom.

Vasily Klovkin, the head of the Stroyelektromontazh-5 organization, was sentenced to 4.5 years in a maximum security colony, and his son Kirill Klovkin-to a fine of 300 thousand rubles.

The SAM-5 employee will pay a fine of 2.8 million rubles.
The other defendants, including the head of the company Theater-Decorating Workshops (TDM) Vladimir Khalifa, were appointed fines, however, due to the expiration of the statute of limitations, they are exempted from punishment.

The civil lawsuit LLC Inzhtransstroy-SPB is satisfied in the amount of 50 million 480 thousand 862 rubles.
Recall that Oganesyan has been in custody since November 2016. According to investigators, the former official received a bribe from the head of the TDM company of more than 22 million rubles. Money was paid for assistance in concluding a contract for the supply of a scoreboard for the stadium on Krestovsky Island of St. Petersburg.
Oganesyan allegedly received another bribe from the leadership of Stroyelektromontazh-5 Vasily Kakovkin (through his son Kirill Kakovkin) for help when concluding contracts for artistic backlighting of the stadium.
