The Russian businessman is in custody in Switzerland, where the court considers a request for his extradition to the United States in connection with insider trade, the Ministry of Justice said on Tuesday.
“Russian citizen Vladislav Klyushin was arrested in Canton Wallis on March 21, 2021 and was detained” in anticipation of a court decision on his extradition, France-Press Ingrid Raiser, and representative of the Federal Department of Justice, told the agency.
The US Embassy in Bern on April 19 requested the extradition of Klyushin, “accused of the fact that he, together with other accomplices, committed insider trading for tens of millions,” said

“During the interrogation, Klyushin stated that he was against his extradition in the United States,” said the press secretary of the Ministry of Justice.
The appeal is rejected by the federal court
Vladislav Klyushin runs several companies and is the owner of the M13 group, which specializes in the development of databases and computer resources.
This group has developed a monitoring system for the Katyusha media and social networks, which since 2016 has been officially used by the Administration of the President of Russia, as well as a number of other Russian ministries.
