So, I was fired with RTVI. For a post in a personal telegram.

Briefly according to the situation: it is obvious that to express your opinion in your personal telegram channel, even if it does not coincide with the opinion of the editorial office, no one can prohibit the journalist. And dismiss for this is nonsense.

Firstly: no one will convince me, a journalist with 11 years of experience, including in the posts of the chief editor of two publications, that an armed person at the UN headquarters in New York is an informational occasion that should be neglected. And no one will convince me that a whole strip of publications with interviews of the acting head of the Ministry of Emergencies about how “well done” he is for an hour, according to the laws of the journalist of ethics and the interests of the audience, should not at least be interrupted to report an armed person to the headquarters UN apartments. Obviously, quotes from the interview can and should be interrupted by urgent news. I think this does not even need any sane journalist to explain.

Secondly, I answer the specially editor of the RTVI exclusive department (although he had only one exclusive during this time) who called me publicly stupid: dear Maxim Solopov, I’m not stupid, I am honest. And yes, to substitute yourself before the New Year, a year later, after a year of immigration to someone else’s country, without any prospects for a new employment, because all places in the narrow Russian -speaking segment of the media in the United States are engaged in people who are accustomed to see exclusively the calculation, may seem to appear Stupid.

Thirdly: I worked on RTVI solely because the American edition is absolutely independent and free. At least during my work in it, there was no impact on information policy or censorship in the editorial office in NY -. When the interests of the Russian editorial office crossed with the American, the previous post was born.

Fourth: in the editorial office of RTVI, not so long ago there was a scandal with an interview contrary to all the principles of journalism – then Kandelaki took a complimentary interview from the Secretary of the General Council of United Russia Andrei Turchak, whom the executor of a rigid attempt on journalist Oleg Kashin called the customer of this attack. And of course, Kandelaki ignored these accusations in her interview and did not ask anything about them. The channel admitted that this is a violation of journalistic principles, and Kandelaki wrote out 98 thousand rubles of a fine for this interview. I was fired not for violation of journalistic principles, but for a post with a demand to observe them. This is all.

And yes, I’m looking for a job. I can do a lot, the experience is great, I can throw a resume in a personal. Write: @chumanastya
